You are invited to the launch of a new report by the Electricity Governance Initiative of SA and an ENERGY CAUCUS MEETING in Cape Town.
Launch of Report – 7 May, 14.00-16.00
“Smart Electricity Planning: Fast-Tracking our Transition to a Healthy, Modern, Affordable Electricity Supply for all”
This will include presentations of key findings of the report and engagement on these with authors.
Energy Caucus – 8 May, 9.00-16.00
Draft agenda themes
- IRP/IEP: What are the key energy policy issues We need to deal with in
- Nuclear: What are the key intervention points and how best should these be managed? Reportback: Tsunami Nuclear Workshop? Other?
- Electricity tariffs: Eskom’s tariffs are now settled through the MYPD3, but what about the Municipal tariffs and how can these be influenced? Million Climate jobs input? Other?
If there are any additions to the agenda, please send these along and we will aim to formulate an agenda that can be covered within the day.
We have limited funding available for transport and accommodation subsidies for travel to the Western Cape from other provinces.
