GOVERNMENT needs a clever strategy to negotiate access to Mozambique’s big natural gas deposits, seen as a possible solution to the electricity crisis, say industry players.
Lobby groups like the SA Independent Power Producers Association (SAIPPA) and the Energy Intensive Users Group, see Mozambique as a more affordable, environmentally friendly solution that can be implemented faster than nuclear or coal-fired plants.
